Nebraska at Maryland – 1/28/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will travel to College Park to meet the Maryland Terrapins in Big Ten play from the XFINITY Center on the BTN. Maryland leads the head-to-head series, 10-3, after winning four matchups in a row.

Nebraska dropped to 10-11 after losing to Northwestern in Lincoln. The Cornhuskers trailed the Wildcats by double figures at the break, and could not rally back, losing 78-63. Nebraska is scoring 66.1 points per game, while allowing 67.8 ppg, and shooting 44.1% from the floor.

Nebraska has dropped five of their first seven games here in 2023, and it’s unsure how much things improve for them this season. The Huskers defend at a solid rate, but they’re very limited offensively. Senior forward Derrick Walker has done his part, and after scoring 20 points against Penn State, he leads the Huskers in scoring (13.6) and rebounding (7.5). NDSU transfer Sam Griesel has been pretty solid as well, and he’s averaging 11.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg, and a team-lead of 4.1 apg. Junior guard Keisei Tominaga scored a season-high 22 points versus Northwestern last night, and he’s up to 10.6 ppg.
