"Week Zero" of the 2022 NCAA college football season is right around the corner, beginning on Saturday, Aug. 27. Though there are hundreds of NCAAF games left to be played, that hasn't stopped fans from trying to predict who'll end the campaign with a National Champions hip victory.
Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs are the reigning National Champions. As the No. 3 seed, Georgia went head-to-head with the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide this past January, emerging with a 33-18 victory. Bulldogs quarterback Stetson Bennett was named Offensive MVP while safety Lewis Cine took home the defensive MVP honors.
While Georgia will be a force to be reckoned with, the Bulldogs aren't favored to repeat as champions. Instead, FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring Alabama at +180 to win the upcoming NCAAF National Championship.
Those odds shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering that Alabama has played in the National Championship six t imes since 2014, winning it on three occasions.
The Ohio State Buckeyes clock in with the second-best odds at +200, while Georgia sits third at +350. The Clemson Tigers (+800) and USC Trojans (+2000) round out the top five.
