NBA trade rumors: Looking at trade machine deals for Bulls involving DeMar DeRozan, Cam Thomas, Devin Vassell

The Chicago Bulls have endured a nightmare start to the season, and there doesn't appear to be a resolution in sight. This team was built only a year and a half ago but is it time to blow everything up? Here's a few paths the Bulls could take as the trade market starts to heat up.

Trade 1

Chicago has a top-4 protected pick, so tanking might be the move if things don't turn around. Jovic is a young player the Bulls can develop, while Robinson offers some solid shooting and is future trade filler. Oladipo offers that as well, and could be a useful rotation piece. Getting future draft assets helps. As for the Heat, they reunite DeRozan with Kyle Lowry and provide some additional punch for a team trying to contend.

Trade 2

The Nets can't deal a pick until this late due to the James Harden trade with Houston but they have several options in this year they can send out. Chicago gets Thomas and some veterans, plus future draft capital. The Nets get another high-level scorer and a bench piece who can explode from time to time.

Trade 3

This is the extent of a “win now' move the Bulls can make given their limited draft assets. Vassell has been struggling this season but he's the closest thing to a point guard the Bulls can get without giving away much. The Spurs are in full tank mode and don't want to commit more money to younger players. Vassell offers some upside as well, although Chicago likely has to do some major winning to get in this position.
