Teams don't cut down nets for a summer league championship, but it can often be the start of something special and a sign of things to come. Some franchises take the summer more seriously, and it's important to identify that before betting. These are our top three favorite bets for tonight in the NBA Summer League.
BET #1: Mavericks +3.5 (-110) with DraftKings
We got bit by Indiana in Wednesday's article, after they surprise-rested their backcourt of Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard before losing to Oklahoma City. Given that development, it's hard to understand this line, as the Mavericks sit at 2-1 and have not yet rested any of their most talented players, such as Jaden Hardy, Dereck Lively, O-Max Prosper and more. We don't know for sure what will happen with lineups on Thursday night, but it feels like the wrong side is favored here.
