NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Domantas Sabonis, Kings Over 20.5 Points (-140) DK
Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis is averaging 20.1 points per game on 61.4% shooting from the field thus far in the regular season.
Sabonis has cleared this line in 10 of his last 13 games including each of his last three games with exactly 21 points. During the last 10 games, Sabonis is averaging 22.4 points per game on 9.5 made field goals.
He should see a scoring uptick tonight against an Atlanta Hawks team that allows the 3rd most points per game overall and 3rd most per game to opposing centers with 24.43 per game.
Sabonis already scored 25 points while going 12-17 from the field against the Hawks on December 29th. The total is set high at 237.5 and these teams rank 5th and 9th in pace of play so we should see also see additional scoring opportunities.
The Kings are on a four-game losing streak, look for them to lean on their veteran center to score at home.
NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Naz Reid, Timberwolves Over 13.5 Points (-102) FD
Minnesota Timberwolves backup center has averaged 13 points per game on 50.6% shooting from the field through the first 42 games of the 2023-24 campaign.
Reid has eclipsed this point total in 6 of his last 9 games overall with 13, 9 and 8 in the other three games. When Reid has played 23+ minutes, he’s cleared this line at a near 80% clip and he’s played 23+ minutes in each of his last three games.
The Charlotte Hornets allow the MOST points per game to opposing centers with 27.59 per game. Reid scored 23 points against the Hornets in early December while shooting 9-14 from the field and playing 24 minutes.
Centers have been destroying the Hornets recently as Joel Embiid scored 33 points, Zach Collins 16 points, Bam Adebayo 24 points, Domantas Sabonis 24 points and Nikola Vucevic 21 points. Even Andre Drummond scored 24 points against Charlotte recently.
The spread is 14.5 so the Timberwolves could use this game as a spot to rest Gobert and company and give the backups additional minutes.
Look for Reid to take advantage of a team that’s extremely vulnerable against opposing big men.
