After a very weird Monday night in the NBA we hope to return to normalcy with 9 games and a few really good matchups. The Cavaliers and Celtics square off after their Sunday dismantling of the Golden State Warriors; it felt like a message was being sent with that win. In the late window, the Suns and Nuggets bring us home in what could be a future playoff matchup littered with stars although the big name on the i njury report is Devin Booker, as he will be OUT tonight.'
Kelly Olynyk (TOR) over 19.5 points and rebounds (-115)'
Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl will both miss tonight's game, injecting Olynyk into the starting line up just one day after signing a 2-year extension with the Raptors. This commitment should give Olynyk a little extra boost knowing he has a home (at home) for the foreseeable future after bouncing around all these years. Olynyk has had success against Jonas Valanciunas as a starter; if we go back to last season he played the Pelicans 3 times and both games over 30 min he finished with 21 and 25 PR on the night. Olynyk has floor stretching ability and can score from 3P range despite struggling from deep post-ASB.The most successful rebounding distance against the Pelicans is 4.6-6.7 feet from the basket and Olynyk fits nicely in that range, averaging 5.3 over the L10 and the number went down to 4.6 last game with Poeltl exiting early. This is a 1u play for me.
