Sunday's NBA player prop picks

Betting on Jokic to get a triple-double has been a great wager all season. And if it ain't broke, why fix it?

After losing in a gentleman's sweep to the Golden State Warriors last postseason and a sweep to the Suns in 2021, the Nuggets are on the verge of winning a playoff series and advancing to the conference semifinals.

Jokic finished Game 3 with a triple-double, and he's recorded one in three of six matchups against the Timberwolves during the 2022-23 regular season and playoffs combined. The superstar posted 29 triple-doubles in the regular season and averaged 23.6 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 10.6 dimes against divisional opponents.

The Wolves surrender the third most rebounds at home (53.6). While the team is middle-of-the-pack in assists allowed, Jokic averaged 12.7 against them in the regular season, his second-most against any opponent.

Murray's points prop is set at a modest 21.5 points, but we can sell three points and get his prop at 24.5 for +180 odds. The 26-year-old has been stellar through three playoff appearances thus far, and he should produce nicely again with a chance to even up the first-round series with Boston at home.

He averaged 20.5 points and 1.8 threes in the regular season, shooting 46.4% on 17.8 field-goal attempts and 5.2 3-point attempts. Murray has averaged 26 points and three triples on 45.7% shooting.

The biggest difference has been aggr ession. Murray has taken 23.3 shots per game in the postseason, including 8.3 from beyond the arc. He's pushed the issue on offense and taken more 3-pointers, and Murray has scored at least 25 points in two of three games against Boston in the playoffs.

The Knicks and Cavs have played three straight low-scoring games, and the rebound battle will be crucial in Game 4 as the Cavs look to avoid falling into a 3-1 series hole. Second-year man Evan Mobley has been huge on the glass, pulling down double-digit boards in all three playoff games thus far. Cleveland should be fired up after getting obliterated in Game 3.

Mobley has strung together two straight double-doubles while averaging 10.3 points and 11.3 boards in this series. He rolled to the regular-season finish line behind averages of 17.5 points and 9.3 boards after the All-Star break.

His points prop is set at 13.5, while Mobley's rebound prop sits at 9.5, and his points + rebounds at 23.5. Rather than placing straight bets on any of those, we'll take the plus-money odds that he delivers a third straight double-double.

Sunday's NBA game pick

The Golden State Warriors earned a 17-point win over the Sacramento Kings in Game 3, holding them to just 97 points. The Kings led the NBA in points per game, and aside from the final two regular-season contests in which players were rested, Sacramento was held below 100 points only twice.

Golden State's defense is noticeably better at home, allowing more than 10 fewer points per game. But keeping the Kings' offense down won't be easily replicated.

After losing two close games in Sacrame nto and the Draymond Green suspension galvanizing them, Friday's Game 3 felt like it was going to be the Warriors' for the taking. The Kings suffered three- and five-point losses at Chase Center during the regular season, and they notched a seven-point win at home.

Not counting the April 7 game in which Sacramento rested its starters, the Kings have kept things close with the Warriors all season. Expect a bounce-back effort, so we're taking the Kings to cover on the road.
