NBA picks for tonight: Best player prop bets to consider for Thursday, December 15

The NBA has just four games on the Thursday night slate, with the Heat vs. Rockets and Bucks vs. Grizzlies both tipping off at 8 p.m. ET. The night continues with Pelicans vs. Jazz at 9 p.m. and wraps with the Suns vs. Clippers at 10:30 p.m. Even with a small slate tonight, there are still plenty of player prop bets to choose from across the board. Let's go over a few of our favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook ahead of tonight's action.

Jonas Valanciunas over 13.5 points vs. Jazz (-120)

Valanciunas has been averaging 13.2 ppg so far this season as the Pelicans have shot up to the top of the Western conference. The Pels are playing their second game in a back-to-back series against the Jazz, and the big man put up 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss Tuesday. He's averaged 13.8 ppg throughout the month of December, and should be poised to hit the over on this prop at Vivint Arena tonight.

Dillon Brooks over 3.5 rebounds vs. Bucks (+110)

Brooks has seen an increased workload as of late in the absence of Desmond Bane, who still remains sidelined with a toe injury. While rebounds aren't necessarily Brooks' forte, he averaged 4.2 rpg in November and is on track to hit that mark again in December, sitting at 3.7 rpg halfway through the month. Through his last eight games, he's only gone under three boards once. He'll go up against a Milwaukee team who has been allowing an average of 51.4 rebounds per game from opponents so far this season.

Paul George over 25.5 points vs. Suns (-110)

This one could be contingent on whether Kawhi Leonard sees the floor tonight for Los Angeles, but George has been averaging 23.0 ppg so far through December and looks like he could capitalize against a struggling Suns team tonight. Phoenix has lost its last five games straight while the Clippers are riding a three-game winning streak as they continue to trend upward. PG13 put up 36 points against the Wizards last weekend, following that up with a 26-point performance in their win over the Celtics on Monday. He should go over this mark again Thursday.
