Charlotte Hornets ML over Memphis Grizzlies (+168) '

This is more obviously more of a fade of Memphis than it is in support of Memphis. The Grizzlies were terrible while Ja Morant was suspended for the first 25 games of the season, briefly won a handful of games when he returned and are a complete disaster again now that Morant is out for the year. This team has lost 7 in a row, falling to 18-34 for the 2023-24 campaign. Charlotte (10-41) just unloaded Gordon Hayward to Oklahoma City, but Hayward has been out since late December so it's not like he is suddenly leaving the lineup. Miles Bridges stayed put and scored 45 points in Wednesday's 6-point loss to Toronto. This is a very winnable game for the home team. '

Atlanta Hawks -4.5 over Houston Rockets (-115)'

The Hawks are playing decent basketball at the moment. They have won 5 of their last 7 contests and their only 2 losses during this stretch have come in competitive games against the Celtics and Clippers – perhaps the 2 NBA Finals participants. A relative hot streak is part of the reason why Atlanta decided not to do anything at the trade deadline. Most notably that means Dejounte Murray stuck around. Murray has missed the last 2 contests because of a back issue, but he could return tonight. Even if he doesn't, the Hawks should still be fine. All-star guard Trae Young is playing great, as is fast-rising forward Jalen Johnson. Houston is wrapping up a 4-game road trip and lost each of the first 3 games. The Rockets may be fatigued both mentally and physically, so this is a great spot for the Hawks.'
