The New York Knicks seem like a rejuvenated team ever since they acquired OG Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors. It has seen them once again mentioned firmly in the chasing pack of the Eastern Conference. They will get an chance to showcase their credentials once more against an Atlantic division rival in the Philadelphia 76ers. You can check out our'NBA picks. But for now, let's jump into my Knicks vs 76ers Same Game Parlay.
Isaiah Hartenstein has been great since coming in for the injured Mitchell Robinson this season. As a starter he is averaging 10.1 rebounds per game. He is also coming into tonight's contest having had a 20-rebound game against the Chicago Bulls. He should get plenty of opportunities to match that tonight as he takes on Joel Embiid. Hartenstein is best placed on the Knicks roster to match up with the MVP. The Knicks center has done a great job staying out of foul trouble, having not recorded more than 4 fouls in a game since the start of December. Doing something similar here should help him easily push past 35 minutes of playing time, giving this line time to hit.
Despite the size of Embiid, he has not been able to make the 76ers a great rebounding team. Over the last 10 games they are just 24th in rebounding percentage. They are also just 26th in defensive rebounding percentage during that time. It should mean that the Knicks center should have success grabbing offensive rebounds here. During that same stretch of games, Hartenstein is averaging 4.6 offensive rebounds per game. Only Andre Drummond and Clint Capela are averaging more. It will be a help getting him to double-figures tonight.
OG Anunoby has had a productive start to life as a Knick. He has helped them win both games since he has put on the uniform. And while it has been a small sample size, he is shooting at a 40% clip from deep in those games. In one of which, he was able to knock down 3 3-pointers. Against a team that has Joel Embiid guarding the rim, I would expect him to look to attack from the perimeter more often here. Just like he did recently against Rudy Gobert. Anunoby holds great value for the Knicks in terms of his defensive capabilities but considering how new he is to the team, it is hard to expect him to be featured on offense. Look for him to play a larger role as a floor spacer early in his New York tenure, which makes the over tonight a great value look.
