The Timberwolves owned the regula r-season series against Dallas with a 3-1 record, although we did not see any matchup take place after the Mavericks’ trade deadline additions of PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford. I view this series as more defensive-minded than the Eastern Conference and I’m very excited to see Anthony Edwards guard Kyrie Irving and Jaden McDaniels matchup with Luka Doncic. This number is low due to the previous series where Irving was a non-factor scoring, but he didn't need to be. The Mavericks had success with PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford and even Dereck Lively all in the paint. That’s going to be significantly harder in this series against Minnesota, who are the exact opposite of OKC. They have great rim protection (OKC did not), they have outstanding perimeter defenders in Jaden McDaniels, Anthony Edwards and spurts of Mike Conley.
