1. Last season, these teams split wins in their four meetings with one another. However, the Sixers did go 3-1 against the spread in those matchups. Philadelphia is now 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight games these two have played, and it'll be interesting to see if Doc Rivers and Co. can continue to be a profitable wager in this head-to-head series. The Sixers do have continuity on their side, while the Celtics had to deal with all of the Ime Udoka drama in the offseason.
2. As previously mentioned, the Celtics have a lot to overcome heading into this year. Not only is Udoka no longer coaching this team, but Boston traded backup center Daniel Theis and lost forward Danilo Gallinari to an injury this summer. Considering Robert Williams III is also out as he recovers from knee surgery, the Celtics are really lacking depth in the frontcourt. That's not something you want against a Sixers team that will be playing bully-ball with Joel Embiid around the paint.
