The Nashville Predators face the Vegas Golden Knights with both teams looking to build off of promising seasons. The Predators have a 24-18-1 record and with two wins in a row, they have the fourth-best record in the Central Division.  The Golden Knights have a 24-14-5 record which is second-best in the Pacific Division but have only three wins in their last 10 games. Both teams look to improve in the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Predators are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.16 goals per game with nine goals in their last two games. Filip Forsberg, Ryan O'Reilly, and Gustav Nyquist have scored 49 goals and 71 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Colton Sissons, Luke Evangelista, and Thomas Novak have combined for 27 goals and 44 assists while defensemen Roman Josi and Alexandre Carrier have added 11 goals and 37 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has stepped up but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.12 goals per game. Roman Josi and Ryan McDonagh have combined for 4.2 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Juuse Saros is having a rough season with a .901 save percentage and a 3.02 goals-against average on 925 shots with -2.4 goals saved above average.
