Nashville Predators vs. Seattle Kraken Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-8-2022

Nashville Predators (5-6-1) vs. Seattle Kraken (7-4-2)

The 2022-23 NHL betting action continues with an 11-game Tuesday card, bringing plenty of interesting matchups including the Western Conference battle between the Nashville Predators and Seattle Kraken with the puck drop at 10:00 PM ET.

Nashville heads to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle as a small +105 underdog. The Kraken are listed as -116 moneyline favorites, and the totals sit at 6.0 goals. These two conference foes start their three-game regular-season series, and Seattle went 2-1 against Nashville in 2021-22.

The Nashville Predators will play their fourth straight game on the road Tuesday. After a 7-4 defeat at the Edmonton Oilers, the Predators have won two straight at the Calgary Flames 4-1 and Vancouver Canucks 4-3 in a shootout. Nashville overcame a three-goal deficit at Rogers Arena in Vancouver this past Saturday, and defenseman Jordan Gross led the way with a couple of goals.

“As soon as we scored that first goal, I felt like we had a mental advantage on them,” defenseman Mattias Ekholm said after posting two assists against the Canucks. “They seemed to be on their heels a little bit. They were just flipping pucks out and we kept coming at them and got another goal and after that, I thought we pressured for a fourth and it didn’t come until this shootout.”

Juuse Saros turned 42 of 45 shots aside against Vancouver. The 27-year-old netminder is now 3-5-1 with a 3.12 GAA and .904 save percentage in 2022-23, while Kevin Lankinen is 2-1-0 with a 2.36 GAA and .933 SV%. Saros is expected to patrol the crease Tuesday in Seattle.

The Predators are scoring just 2.75 goals per contest, enough for the sixth-fewest in the NHL. They rank 28th in the league in power-play percentage (7-for-47) and 25th in shooting percentage (9.1). Filip Forsberg leads the way for Nashville with four goals and eight assists, and the 28-year-old center has found the back of the net in two of his last three appearances.
