The Nashville Predators face the Minnesota Wild with both teams looking to improve from rocky seasons. The Predators have a 26-21-6 record and have lost three of their last five games while the Wild have a 29-21-5 record and are in the middle of the Central Division. Both teams look to improve within the Central Division and the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a great one.

The Predators are having a season to forget with their offense letting them down, scoring only 2.69 goals per game with only five goals in the last four games. Filip Forsberg and Matt Duchene have scored 35 goals and 49 assists while defenseman Roman Josi has added 13 goals and 31 assists from the point but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only five skaters have 10 goals or more and opponents can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has stepped up, allowing only 2.98 goals per game. Roman Josi and Ryan McDonagh have combined for 6.5 defensive point shares and 211 blocked shots while Mattias Ekholm, Dante Fabbro, and Alexandre Carrier have combined for 5.9 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Juuse Saros has stepped up with a .917 save percentage and a 2.79 goals-against average on 1326 shots with 14.9 goals saved above average.
