The offense has stepped up but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.11 goals per game with seven goals in the last two games. Roman Josi and Ryan McDonagh have combined for 4.6 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. The bright spot has been the play of goaltender Juuse Saros who has a .904 save percentage and a 2.94 goals-against average on 1047 shots with 0.1 goals saved above average.
