The 2022-23 NHL season goes on with a 15-game Saturday card and brings this Western Conference clash between the Nashville Predators and the Los Angeles Kings at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California at 10:30 p.m. ET.
This is the third meeting between the teams this season. The clubs split the first two meetings with both being in Nashville. Los Angeles won in a shootout, 4-3, on October 18, and the Predators earned a victory on January 21, 5-3. They were the favorite in the contest at -110. Los Angeles is the favorite for this game at -145.
The Nashville Predators lost to the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday, 4-1. That was the fourth contest of a six-game road trip that has seen the club go 2-1-1 through the first four games. The Predators are 15-13-4 overall on the road this season and are fighting for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, six points behind Winnipeg.
Arizona jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Cody Glass got on the board with his ninth goal of the season with just two minutes left in the contest. Nashville has been solid offensively of late, averaging 3.60 goals per game over their last 10, and are 25th in the NHL overall at 2.84 goals per game. The Predators are 25th on the power play at 18.5%. They have scored on nine of their last 28 power-play opportunities (32.2%).

Juuse Saros played well in the loss, allowing three goals on 42 shots. Saros is 24-18-6 with a 2.76 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. He has been very solid of late, allowing 11 total goals over his last five contests. The Predators are 12th in goals allowed per game (2.94) and 11th in penalty killing (81.3%) and have been even better recently, killing off 29 of their last 33 shorthanded situations.
