A two-game winning streak takes the Vegas Golden Knights (1st in Pacific Division) to a domestic meeting against the New York Rangers (5th in Metropolitan), who will be traveling to Sin City on the back of a win versus St. Louis.

The New York Rangers (12-10-5) rounded off their latest three-game homestand with a 1-1-1 record after snapping a two-game skid (0-1-1) with a 6-4 victory against the St. Louis Blues at Madison Square Garden on Monday. The Blueshirts took three separate leads before the visitors tallied twice in succession to go 4-3 up in the second period, only for New York to score three unanswered strikes, including a shorty, in the final third. Vincent Trocheck (9 goals,17 points this year) and Alexis Lafreniere (4 goals, 12 points) picked up a marker and an assist each, as the Rangers triumphed just for the second time in their past seven outings (2-4-1).

Goalie Igor Shesterkin turned aside 25 shots on Monday to take his current performance tally to 11-4-4 for the season with a 2.67 GAA and a .910 save percentage. He has never faced Vegas befo re, while Jaroslav Halak (1-6-1 on the year with a 3.04 GAA and a .888 save percentage) has registered a perfect 5-0-0 career record against the Golden Knights with a 1.77 GAA and a .948 save percentage.
