The Montreal Canadiens face the Dallas Stars with both teams heading in opposite directions this season. The Canadiens have a 15-16-5 record and with three losses in a row, they are near the bottom of the Atlantic Division. The Stars have a 22-9-4 record and with two wins in a row, they have the third-best record in the Central Division. Both teams are looking to start 2024 on the right foot and the upcoming game should be a good one.

The Canadiens are having a season to forget with their offense struggling, scoring only 2.75 goals per game. Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Sean Monahan have scored 30 goals and 49 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has struggled.
