Montreal Canadiens at Columbus Blue Jackets – 11/23/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue jackets face off on Wednesday in an NHL showdown at Nationwide Arena. When these two teams faced off on the 17th it was the Blue Jackets that secured the 6-4 victory. 

Montreal comes into this game with a 9-8-1 record overall and they have gone 3-4-1 against the spread. On Saturday it took overtime to get the job done but Montreal was able to beat the Flyers 5-4. Cole Caufield had a big game for Montreal scoring two goals and adding another assist. Montreal is averaging 3.06 goals while their defense is giving up 3.5 goals per game. The defense is ranked 25th in the leauge. Nick Suzuki has been the top player for Montreal scoring 11 goals and adding 12 assists. Cole Caufield is also having a big season scoring 11 goals and adding eight assists. 

On the other side of this matchup is Columbus who sits with a 7-10-1 record and they are coming off a victory in the last game. In the last game against the Florida Panthers, the Blue Jackets scored five goals, and it’s going to need to be the offense that is good again here. The Blue Jackets are averaging 3.06 goals per game while their defense is giving up 4.33 goals per game. The defense is ranked 32nd in the league, and will need to be improved upon here. Johnny Gaudreau has scored seven goals and added 11 assists so far this season.
