Monmouth (1-15 SU, 4-12 ATS, 0-3 CAA) travels to Long Island to take on Hofstra (10-7 SU, 8-8 ATS, 3-1 CAA) on Wednesday night at 7pmET.

These teams met last season despite with Hofstra winning 77-71 as a 4-point road dog. This is Monmouth's first season in the CAA.

Monmouth's last victory took place on Dec. 4 when they beat Manhattan on the road 76-69. Since then, the Hawks have lost seven straight games including a 67-35 road defeat at Drexel last Saturday. It's been a rough start for the head coach King Rice and the Hawks. They lost five starters from last season and moved into a new league from the Metro Atlantic. They are having a rough time putting the ball in the basket. The Hawks rank 360th in points per game at 57.6 and are shooting 38.2% (358th) from the field and 27.1% (360) from long range. They also rank 358th in free throw shooting at 60.7%. They also rank 343rd in rebounding margin at -5.7. Defensively, it's also been rough as Monmouth allows 79.6 points per game on 48.7% shooting (357th) and 38.9% (355th) from long range. Junior Myles Foster (6-7, 230) leads the Hawks with 11.9 points and 6.6 rebounds on 46.9% shooting.
