Molly McCann began catching fire nearly two years ago with a three-fight winning streak. She tallied back-to-back knockout wins over Luana Carolina and Hannah Goldy during that run, however, McCann's streak came to an end at UFC 281 in the form of a submission loss to Erin Blanchfield.
Julija Stoliarenko's UFC run, meanwhile, has been disappointing. She joined the company back in 2020 while riding a five-fight winning streak, only to lose four of the five subsequent outings. Stoliarenko also hasn't stepped foot in the octagon since her first-round knockout loss to Chelsea Chandler in October.
There just isn't much of a good reason to believe in Stoliarenko getting an upset win. She's looked terrible at the UFC level and now must face McCann, who has the clear-cut edge in significant strikes landed per minute (5.72 vs. 2.75), striking accuracy (50% vs. 41%), and defense (63% vs. 44%).
Fueled by a ravenous London crowd, look for McCann to do her home country proud with a big bounce-back win.
McCann vs Stoliarenko Best Bet
I'm going with a double-chance option by taking McCann to win by KO/TKO or points at -180 odds. For starters, I see a kn ockout win being possible not only because McCann is the superior striker, but also due to Stoliarenko having been KO'd in her most recent outing.
At the same time, Stoliarenko has only been knocked out once in her last 15 fights, demonstrating solid survival ability. Taking this into account, there's also a legitimate possibility that McCann may need to go the distance to get the job done.
