MLB value plays for Wednesday, June 14

Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today's menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Angels vs. Rangers Total 10. Greg's Total 9.4.

The Texas Rangers are the top-scoring team in baseball, but regression could be coming their way. They have the biggest difference in the American League between their actual batting average of .273 and their expected batting average of .261 on Baseball Savant. The Rangers face Reid Detmers, who has a 4.79 ERA compared to a 3.39 fielding independent with 10.9 strikeouts per nine innings. Rangers starter Andrew Heaney has allowed three earned runs or fewer in nine of his last 10 starts.

Blue Jays (-110) vs. Orioles. Greg's Line: Orioles -117.

Jose Berrios has been significantly better in road starts recently but still has a 2.37 ERA compared to a 4.40 road ERA. The Orioles' offense is third in the American League in runs per game.
