MLB value plays for Tuesday, May 30

Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today's menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Phillies vs. Mets (-135). Greg's Line: Mets -169.

The Phillies are 1-2 in starter Ranger Suarez's starts this season, and he has not been sharp, posting a 9.82 ERA with 4.1 walks per nine innings. Mets starter Kodai Senga has been terrific at home, posting a 1.57 ERA with overall 11.4 strikeouts per nine innings, and he gets to face a Phillies lineup that is 25th in the league in runs per game on the road.

Rangers (-135) vs. Tigers. Greg’s Line: Rangers -154.

The Rangers lead the league in runs per game and are facing Tigers starter Alex Faedo, who’s allowing 2.5 home runs per nine innings. Rangers starter Martin Perez gets the benefit of facing a Tigers offense that is 28th in the league in runs per game and 27th in batting average.

Brewers vs. Blue Jays (-150). Greg’s Line: Blue Jays -184.

Blue Jays starter Yusei Kikuchi has gone from allowing 5.2 walks per nine innings to 2.5 this season for a Blue Jays team with the second-best home ERA in the American League at 3.20. The Brewers are averaging the fewest runs per game of any National League team while their bullpen has a 5.44 ERA the past 30 days, which is last among National League teams in that span.
