MLB value plays for Tuesday, June 13

Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today's menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Giants vs. Cardinals (-110). Greg's Line: Cardinals -132.

Giants starter Alex Cobb has struggled on the road, posting a 4.62 road ERA compared to a 1.43 ERA at home with five of the six home runs he has allowed this season coming on the road. Cardinals starter Jack Flaherty has allowed just five runs across his last five starts with the Cardinals winning four of these starts. The Cardinals support him with a lineup that is second in the National League in runs per game at home.

Blue Jays (-145) vs. Orioles. Greg's Line: Orioles -109.

Chris Bassitt has just a 3.29 ERA, but he has been fortunate on balls in play with opponents hitting .214, with his previous career best being .214. Bassitt has a 4.67 fielding independent with 7.7 strikeouts to 2.9 walks per nine innings with 1.3 home runs per nine innings allowed. While Dean Kremer has a 4.89 ERA, he has allowed three runs or fewer in six of his last seven starts while being backed up by a bullpen that is fifth in the league in ERA.

Braves vs. Tigers Total 8. Greg's Total 7.4.

The Tigers have scored three runs or fewer in eight of their last 11 games and are last in the league in both runs per game and ERA. Braves starter Spencer Strider leads qualifying pitching with 14.8 strikeouts per nine innings and a 2.86 road ERA while Reese Olson has allowed just three runs in his first two starts for the Tigers.
