MLB value plays for Sunday, June 18

Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today's menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Cardinals vs. Mets Total 9.5. Greg’s Total 8.7.

The Cardinals' offense has struggled on the road, generating just 3.8 runs per game on the road compared to 5.3 runs per game at home. The Mets are still without National League home run leader Pete Alonso. Their starter Carlos Carrasco has allowed two runs or fewer in three of his last four starts after posting a 8.68 ERA through his four starts of the season.

White Sox vs. Mariners Total 8. Greg’s Total 8.7.

White Sox starter Lance Lynn is giving up 2.1 home runs and 3.6 walks per nine innings, posting a 6.75 ERA and at least four runs allowed in three straight starts. Bryce Miller has surrendered 16 total runs across his last three starts, and the Mariners as a whole are 22nd in the league in ERA the past 30 days.

Rays vs. Padres (-155). Greg’s Line: Rays +122.

The Rays are second in the league in the league in runs per game, with 11 players hitting at least seven home runs this season.
