The penultimate day of the 2022 Major League Baseball regular season is upon us. A huge 18-game slate is on the table, as 3 double-headers are taking place. The New York Mets and New York Yankees are playing twice, as are the Seattle Mariners – who have clinched a playoff spot (finally!) but can improve their wild-card positioning.
For this parlay we are going with one favorite on the run line and two underdogs on the money line pick. Let's break down each of the legs one by one.
Toronto Blue Jays ML over Baltimore Orioles (-115)
With the Orioles having faded down the stretch, this series did not become a battle for an AL wild-card spot. The O's are eliminated, while the Jays have locked up the #1 wild card and are simply looking to build momentum into the postseason. Baltimore is starting Mike Baumann, who was thrust back into the rotation almost exactly a month ago after pitching only 1 game since May. He has been back-and-forth between starting and in the bullpen and just slogged through a brutal September. Baltimore lost all 5 of his appearances, which began with a start against the Blue Jays in a contest his team lost 7-3. There is no reason why Toronto can't victimize Baumann yet again.
