Yesterday, the St. Louis Cardinals played in the last game of the night as part of ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball Showcase. Today, the Cardinals will be in Cincinnati to take on the rival Reds.
The Reds play in arguably the game’s best park for hitters at Great American Ballpark. That is a great location for a Same Game Parlay, particularly with Miles Mikolas and Chase Anderson on the mound.
Mikolas has had a solid season with 3.35 ERA on the year. However, he is 3-3 with a 5.56 ERA over his last seven starts. He also ranks in sixth percentile in Whiff Rate, 23rd percentile Strikeout Percentage, and in the 33rd percentile in both xBA and Chase Rate.
Anderson will be making his first start of the season. However, last year he was 2-4 with a 6.75 ERA, a far cry from his days in Milwaukee. He has a 4.50 ERA between two minor league affiliates this year and now has to face a hot Cardinals offense. Let’s start with the MVP.
