Severino has faced the Houston Astros twice this season, giving up eight hits. The Yankees’ bullpen has been used quite a bit this postseason and will need Severino to last as long as possible.
Manager Aaron Boone has shown patience and trust in Severino already this postseason. In his last outing against the Guardians he gave up six hits and three runs in the first two innings. Boone left him in the game and went 5.2 innings giving up three runs on eight hits. Look for that type of outing again for Severino and the Yankees.
