One of the best ways to find value in Major League Baseball games is to attack the player props markets. Read on for our favorite MLB player props for Wednesday based on the best MLB odds.

Wednesday's MLB slate provides a ton of betting options across various markets, but we're focusing on three pitchers and their strikeout totals. Included among our picks is another Under, which we've enjoyed success targeting thus far.

Here are our top MLB player props for Wednesday (odds via our best MLB betting sites; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Wednesday's MLB player prop picks

Texas Rangers left-hander Martin Perez isn't exactly known for racking up strikeouts. He's managed just 6.93 per nine innings and a 17.5% strikeout rate in 2023. However, we're getting plenty of value on his total Wednesday, likely due to those numbers.

Ballpark Pal's projected price for Perez going Over 3.5 strikeouts is -207, and this prop is as short as -150 at FanDuel, with BetMGM and DraftKings not far behind at -140 and -135, respectively. Therefore, you should make this bet at Caes ars soon, as the price will likely become shorter in a hurry.

Perez is projected for 4.81 strikeouts on Wednesday, according to NumberFire, so you could push this to Over 4.5 to maximize potential profit. FanDuel offers that alt total at +158, while theScore Bet has it at +170 for Ontario bettors.

However, I prefer the implied probability of Ballpark Pal's projected price on this bet and the wiggle room we get with a projection that does feel a bit high.

Similar to Perez, Atlanta Braves right-hander Bryce Elder isn't exactly a strikeout artist. His 7.74 K/9 and 21.3% strikeout rate are both relatively mediocre. But these are wonky odds, likely due to Elder squaring off with the big bad Los Angeles Dodgers.

This prop should be priced at -126, according to Ballpark Pal. Meanwhile, it's as short as +102 at Caesars, +105 at Barstool Sportsbook, and +106 at FanDuel. Among our best sports betting apps, DraftKings and BetMGM offer a competitive +115.

Elder is projected for 5.43 punchouts on Wednesday, according to NumberFire. I would have played this number with a projection as low as 4.90, so we're getting around a half-strikeout worth of cushion.

The second player in our Bryce bonanza (a third is included in my full slate of picks, which you can find on my Twitter), Seattle Mariners rookie Bryce Miller takes on an Oakland team that loves to strike out, and our Mike Spector is fading the Athletics entirely in his MLB best bets.

Though Miller's 7.82 K/9 is fairly ordinary, his 25% strikeout rate is impressive. However, I'm backing his Under on Wednesday.

Ballpark Pal's projected price for Under 5.5 strikeouts from Miller is -133. FanDuel is the only one of our best sportsbooks that's still listing Miller's total at 5.5, as others are offering 6.5.

For Ontario bettors, you can get this prop at a very tasty +125 via theScore Bet.

Miller is projected for 4.96 punchouts on Wednesday, according to NumberFire. It's a bit tight relative to the bet, but the plus-money odds help mitigate that for us.
