Seattle Mariners right-hander Bryan Woo has made two starts in 2024 since opening the campaign on the injured list, and he hasn't gone especially deep in either despite giving up a total of only four hits and two walks. Additionally, he's struck out just eight batters over 9 2/3 innings after finishing the 2023 season with 9.55 strikeouts per nine innings.
On Tuesday, Woo squares off against arguably the hottest team in baseball. The New York Yankees own the league's second-best wRC+ and have hit the second-most home runs. Additionally, they're walking at the second-highest rate in MLB and striking out at the fifth-lowest rate. It'll be a long (read: short) night for Woo.
