MLB Player Props & Best Bets Today: Schedule, Picks for Wednesdayiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

It's another packed slate on Wednesday before getaway day, and we're offering our top MLB player props and best bets based on the best MLB odds.

Wednesday features some exciting afternoon baseball and ends earlier than usual. It's a perfect recipe for East Coast dads who work from home (which really is my target audience).

The action gets underway at 1:10 p.m. ET when the World Series odds-favorite Los Angeles Dodgers finish their series in Minnesota against the Twins at Target Field.

Wednesday rolls on with a showdown between two scuffling offenses, as the Toronto Blue Jays host the Seattle Mariners. First pitch is expected at 3:07 p.m. ET from Rogers Center (Sportsnet).

Finally, before the night concludes we get a pair of games between division rivals just after 7 p.m. ET. The Boston Red Sox host the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park, and the Atlanta Braves continue their homestand against the New York Mets.

Here are our MLB player props and best bets for Wednesday (MLB picks based on odds via our
best MLB betting sites; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Bobby Miller enjoyed a brilliant first start of 2024 while racking up 11 punchouts over six innings against the St. Louis Cardinals. He carried that momentum into the first inning of his second appearance, but then the wheels fell off. Miller failed to escape the second inning, giving up five runs on four hits and two walks.

Now Miller squares off against a Minnesota Twins team fresh off an embarrassment at the hands of his Dodgers teammate Tyler Glasnow. The right-hander recorded a whopping 14 strikeouts in seven innings. That was more or less par for the course for a Twins club that owns a 28.2% strikeout rate in 2024, the second-worst in the majors. However, Minnesota will be out for revenge on Wednesday.

Miller is projected to finish with only 5.3 strikeouts on Wednesday, according to the average of two of our trusted projection models. Based on that number, we're getting roughly 34% positive expected value on this bet thanks to FanDuel's -115 odds.

As you can see, all of our other best sports betting sites offer this Under at significantly shorter odds. Additionally, Pinnacle, which features one of the most respected trading teams in the sports betting industry, had its Under bet to -153 at around 9:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, shortly after the Twins' lineup was announced.
