MLB Padres vs Dodgers same game parlay (+350)

After cashing our Twins/White Sox same game parlay last night, let's keep things rolling. It's only fitting for the day to finish off with this NL West rivalry. The MLB and ESPN certainly know what they're doing when it comes to scheduling the Sunday Night Baseball game in prime time. They may not have predicted the Padres huge moves at the trade deadline, but it makes this game all the more exciting. San Diego was out to make the next super-team to compete with the Dodgers by getting the likes of Juan Soto and others. However, it's the Dodgers that still have the best record in the entire league. With so much familiarity between these teams, there's plenty of information to use and make this finale profitable. Along with this same game parlay, be sure to check out our MLB picks for all of today's games.

Let's take a closer look at each leg of our same game parlay.

Los Angeles Dodgers ML (-165) over San Diego Padres

To say this series has been back-and-forth would be a bit of an understatement. The Padres took the first game 7-1, while the Dodgers answered back in dominating fashion with a 12-1 last night. It took LA some time to announce a starter for this game, as Tony Gonsolin recently went on the injured list. They've decided to go with reliever Caleb Ferguson. While that may not sound great for another Dodgers win, keep in mind they have an elite bullpen that ranks as the 3rd-best in the league. In fact, that's about the only aspect where they aren't the absolute best.

They have the league's best record at 91-41, are the World Series favorites, have the best team OPS, have scored the most runs by far with 707, and have the best team ERA. The list goes on, but the bottom line is that is why they are still significant favorites with Ferguson on the mound. Not only does he have other great relievers backing him up, the Dodgers have 3 NL MVP candidates leading off their lineup. Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, and Freddie Freeman are all behind Cardinals Paul Goldschmidt, but combined for 6 hits, 2 homers, and 6 RBI last night alone. That's a scary prospect for Padres starter Mike Clevinger.
