We are beginning another week in Major League Baseball with a small seven-game slate on Monday. It all gets started with a 7:05 pm ET American League East showdown between the Blue Jays and Orioles, while the Yankees and Mariners will wrap things up with a 10:10 pm ET opening pitch. There is also an ESPN+ game between the Pirates and Diamondbacks, which is set for 9:40 pm ET.
It's time to take a look at the three components of Monday's mega parlay.
For this parlay we are going with two underdogs on the money line and one favorite on the run line. Let's break down each of the three legs one by one.
Orioles ML over Blue Jays (+130)
These two AL East representatives have met only once so far this year, splitting a four-game series in mid-June. Since then the Orioles have done extremely well to stay in postseason contention. The Blue Jays are in the mix as well, but they just placed leadoff hitter George Springer on the injured list this past weekend. A Springer-less Toronto lineup will face Baltimore's Jordan Lyles, who posted one of his team's wins in the previous head-to-head series. The O's have been victorious in five of Lyles' last six starts, including a 6-3 defeat of the high-powered Yankees. Baltimore's bullpen has been one of the best in the business in 2022, so runs may be hard to come by from start to finish for Toronto. Don't be surprised if a minor upset is in the cards.
