Seattle Mariners ML (-168) over Cleveland Guardians

Although this is a rematch of last weekend, this series took a massive turn just hours before last night's series opener. Both Zach Plesac and Aaron Civale were placed on the injured list. Those were the projected starters for these first 2 games, which is why Xzavion Curry is getting his 2nd career start. As if things didn't already look promising for Robbie Ray, the matchup is even more advantageous. The only team Curry has faced in his MLB career is the Tigers. They're the league's lowest-scoring team and recorded 8 hits and 3 runs against him, while also beating the Guardians.

Meanwhile, Ray has already proven that he can take advantage of this great matchup. The Guardians have been awful against lefties this season. They have the 2nd-lowest OPS against them, ahead of only the struggling Marlins. Ray and the Mariners won his start against Cleveland last weekend in shutout fashion. That marked the 4th straight Seattle win behind Ray, and he personally had an incredible month. He had 2 starts with 10 strikeouts, and the other 3 with 7 strikeouts. Even Guardians slugger Jose Ramirez went 0-for-4 in Ray's start. With Cleveland now having to start Curry, there's simply no reason to doubt Ray and the Mariners.
