MLB Gas Cans Of The Day For Sunday, Sept. 25

Opposing offenses are in great spots

Cleveland Guardians vs. Cole Ragans (5.40 ERA), Texas Rangers

The Guardians have all but locked up the AL Central after sweeping the Chicago White Sox this week, and they look the part of a solid team that can do just about everything well. Jose Ramirez has once again been the rock that has led his team to the postseason, and everyone who fad ed the Guardians to start the year are now ripping up their tickets. They can probably thank the incompetent management of the White Sox for that one. Cleveland shouldn't have much trouble offensively Sunday against Cole Ragans and the Rangers.

In his last start, Ragans allowed two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Angels. This was Ragans' fourth straight no-decision, and it was also his longest of three starts since returning from an injury. He lowered his season ERA to 5.40 with a 1.57 WHIP and 22:14 K-to-BB, and he avoided issuing a walk for the first time in seven outings.
