Opposing offenses are in great spots

Los Angeles Angels vs. Adrian Martinez (6.08 ERA), Oakland Athletics

The Angels have missed the playoffs once again, and that is just ridiculous with Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani on the team. Ownership refuses to support them by putting together a real pitching Staff and supporting players, and it is really sad to see. While they may not be that goo d, they are certainly better than the Oakland Athletics, who may be the worst team in the league. They are starting Adrian Martinez here, and he hasn't been impressive.

In his last start, Martinez took the loss, allowing three runs on five hits over 4.2 innings against these same Angels. He struck out four. Martinez has now allowed three or more runs in four consecutive starts, going 0-3 over that stretch with a 9.33 ERA and 1.91 WHIP. That is about as bad as it gets, almost like he shouldn't be pitching in the professional leagues. Actually, that is the case.
