Detroit Tigers -1.5 over Los Angeles Dodgers (+155)
To start off our MLB parlay, I’m going with the Detroit Tigers on the run line. While the Dodgers should have the edge on offense in this interleague matchup, Los Angeles is struggling to score in a major way of late. Therefore, it’s hard to look past getting to back Tarik Skubal at a cheap price at home in this matchup. Heading into this game, the Tigers are 12-6 in Skubal’s starts despite being 4 games under .500 for the season as a team. Skubal has been lights out this year, as he holds the best WHIP and 2nd-best ERA among qualified pitchers to this point. On the other side, James Paxton’s underlying metrics (4.88 xERA, 4.92 FIP, 5.18 xFIP, 1.40 WHIP, 4.6% K-BB% and 41.8% hard-hit rate) are concerning to say the least.
