MLB Friday parlay at mega +610 odds today 4/5: Keep fading the struggling Mets

With MLB Opening Day in the rearview mirror, we are off and running in this 2024 Major League Baseball season. Action on the diamond continues with a smaller 6-game slate on Friday. The games get underway with the New York Yankees hosting the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:10 pm ET and concludes with the Houst on Astros taking on the Texas Longhorns at 8:05 pm ET on Apple TV. Below is my MLB mega parlay for Friday, while you can also'check out all of our MLB picks for today’s action.

For this parlay, I am going with a favorites on the money line, an underdog on the underdog on the money line and a game to go under the total. Let's break down each of the 3 legs.

Cincinnati Reds ML over New York Mets (-116)

It’s been a dreadful start to the season for the Mets, but New York finally won its first game of the season in extra innings on Thursday with a 2-1 victory over the Tigers. It took until the 8th inning for New York to record their first hit, and both of their runs came in the bottom of the 9th. The Mets already come into this game at a disadvantage, having used 8 relievers in their doubleheader on Thursday. Now, their struggling lineup will take on Hunter Greene and a Reds bullpen that has a huge rest advantage heading into this matchup. It doesn’t help matters that Mets starter Jose Quintana allowed a 53.3% hard-hit rate and 2 barreled balls in his season debut for New York and is now tasked with facing a tougher opponent in a tougher ballpark. Let’s get to the window with the Reds in this one.
