MLB Friday mega parlay (+1136 odds) today 8/26

What better way to wrap up the work week than with a +1136 mega parlay? There is no day baseball on Friday, so the 15-game slate will be packed into the night. I was 1 run away from cashing my last mega parlay, so I’m hoping this is the one that hits. Let’s get right into it!

Let's break down each of the legs one by one.

Atlanta Braves -1.5 over St. Louis Cardinals (+130)

It's slightly surprising to see the Cardinals as underdogs in a game since they have had such a successful August, but it makes sense in this spot. St. Louis recently overtook the Yankees as the best lefty-hitting lineup this season, but not far down the list at 3rd place are the Braves. They faced Jose Quintana in mid-June when he was a Pirate, and the Atlanta offense tagged the lefty for 4 runs and 6 hits including 3 home runs in 5 innings. Entering Friday night's game, the Braves lineup ranked 3rd in OPS and 4th in wRC+ against left-handed pitching, which means they should be able to give run support to their rookie phenom, Spencer Strider. In the second half of the season, the opponents have a .186 batting average against Strider in 26.1 innings. And when he starts on the road, the opponent batting average decreases to .155 which gives me the confidence that he can minimize the Cardinals offense.
