First and foremost, yesterday demonstrated how hitter-friendly the conditions are in Wrigley Field this weekend. This too will be another afternoon game, so expect more of the same. It's also largely due to the inconsistencies and untrustworthiness of the starters on the mound. Obviously they don't account for an entire game. However, when the ball can fly out of the ballpark with a simple flick of the wrist, any team can unexpectedly come out on top.'
That was perfectly demonstrated yesterday with 4 different lead changes within the first 5 innings. There were also 11 runs scored within those first 5 innings. As for today's starter specifically, Cubs Marcus Stroman has led the team to both a win and a loss against the Brewers this season. More recently was back-to-back starts against the league-worst Nationals. While he didn't allow a run his last time out, he allowed 4 in the start prior. Both of those ended in losses with totals of at least 9 runs.'
