The Braves opened the series with a massive 11-4 win over Jose Quintana and the Cardinals last night. That was their second game in a row of scoring 10 or more runs, so they have now scored 25 runs in their last 2 games. Their offense has been non-stop this entire season and they get to face yet another lefty in Jordan Montgomery. Since being acquired by the Cardinals at the trade deadline, Montgomery has been spectacular. He's exceeded all expectations St. Louis had for him, but he will have his toughest challenge on Saturday against a Braves lineup that ranks in the top 3 in almost every offensive category against left-handed pitching. In their careers against Montgomery, the Atlanta lineup has a .324 batting average and a .322 xBA in 41 plate appearances. I expect the Braves lineup to continue smashing lefties and pick up the multi-run win on Saturday.
