Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Thursday, August 3: 

New York Mets at Kansas City Royals (-118. 9.5)

After fading the Mets yesterday, I’m going right back to it today. This season, New York is 7-25 when playing as a moneyline underdog, and it’s just somewhat hard to see that changing here. This Mets team just feels a little lifeless at the moment, with yesterday’s scoreless performance coming as no surprise after the front office decided to give up on the season. Now, New York sends Carlos Carrasco to the mound, and he’s a pitcher that I think the Royals can take advantage of right now. This Kansas City offense has been pretty hot this week, and Carrasco comes into this game after having allowed 18 hits over his last two starts. On the flip side, Brady Singer got off to a really poor start to the season, but he has settled in rather nicely. He’ll welcome this matchup with a struggling Mets team, and he should turn in a solid performance.
