Missouri took care of business against South Carolina at home Tuesday night to win for the fourth time in five games. The Tigers ran their record to 18-6 overall and 6-5 in the conference, leaving them tied for seventh in the standings. Against South Carolina, Missouri led by seven less than three and a half minutes into the game but found things tougher than expected for much of the night. The Tigers led by five at the half and by just one with 10:13 to play before going on a 15-5 run that put them in front 76-65 with 4:24 remaining. They didn’t let the Gamecocks closer than nine the rest of the way. Missouri shot 50.9% from the field, including 12 of 25 from three-point range, and forced 14 turnovers to offset allowing South Carolina to shoot 52% in the game. Kobe Brown led the Tigers with 19 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals in the win.

The Tigers are 13th in the nation in scoring offense with 82 points per game on the year. Missouri is 336th in rebounding by collecting 31.3 boards a night while the team dishes out 17 assists (13th) per contest. The Tigers are only 316th in the nation in scoring defense by allowing 74.8 points per game. Kobe Brown is leading the Tigers with an average of 16.3 points plus 6.1 rebounds per game on the year.
