The Missouri Tigers (10-2, 8-4 ATS, 8-4 O/U) battle the Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1, 6-5-1 ATS, 3-9 O/U) in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night. The Tigers went 10-2 this season and 6-2 in SEC play. The Buckeyes posted an 11-1 record and issued an 8-1 mark in Big Ten play.

The #9 Missouri Tigers enter the Cotton Bowl on a three-game winning streak. Missouri won its opening five games before taking a loss. The two defeats occurred in SEC play, losing to LSU along with a 30-21 road loss against Georgia in November. They rebounded by winning their last three bouts propelled by the offense. Missouri was nine-point favorites in a 48-14 win against Arkansas in the last regular season game. The Tigers have covered the spread in four of their last five bouts.
Brady Cook is having an outstanding season. The junior QB has eclipsed 300 passing yards on five occasions including 331 yards against Florida last month. Cook has collected 3189 passing yards and a 20:6 TD to INT ratio on the season. Missouri will run more than pass. They have one of the best running backs in the country in Cody Schrader. The senior RB has rushed for at least 100 yards in all but four games and has rec orded 1489 rushing yards on the season.
The receiving core is led by Luther Burden III. The sophomore WR brought in 158 yards in the win against Florida and has 1197 receiving yards on the season. The Missouri offense consistently produced all season, netting at least 30 points in seven of eight SEC bouts.

The Tigers defense is solid. The group had some trouble early in conference play but allowed a total of only 52 points in their last three decisions. They held Arkansas to only 225 total yards late last month. The pass defense can be solved, ranking 62nd while the rush defense is a strength, marking 32nd.
Missouri is scoring an average of 34.1 points, ranking them 27th. They are conceding an average of 22.3 points, placing them 42nd in the country.
