The Missouri Tigers will head down and face the UCF Golden Knights at the Orange Bowl Classic this weekend from FLA Live Arena.
Missouri dropped to 9-1 after falling to Kansas in the Border Showdown last weekend. The Tigers were outmatched early trailing by 17 points at the break, and ended up losing their first game of the season. Mizzou is scoring 92.6 points per game, while shooting 51.2% from the floor, and 34.3% from three.
There’s been no shortage of offense here for Mizzou in 2022. Four Tigers average double figures comfortably, with Cleveland State transfer D’Moi Hodge leading the way. The redshirt senior has been very consistent early on, scoring 17 points or more in five of the first eight games. Noah Carter, a UNI transfer, scored a team-high 20 points in the win over Wichita, and he’s averaging 12.6 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Missouri mainstay Kobe Brown remains effective alongside him in the frontcourt, grabbing a team-lead 5.5 rpg.
