NFL Show

The Minnesota Wild face the Dallas Stars with both teams off to great starts to the season. The Wild have a 12-9-2 and are on a three-game winning streak while the Stars have a 14-6-4 and have won back-to-back games. Both teams are looking to continue their strong start in the Central Division and the Western Conference and the upcoming game looks to be a great one as a result.

The Wild are having a great season with their offense carrying them recently, scoring 3.00 goals per game with 14 goals in the last three games. Kirill Kaprizov, Mats Zuccarello, and Joel Eriksson Ek have scored 29 goals and 42 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Matt Boldy, Sam Steel, and Frederick Gaudreau have combined for 18 goals and 15 assists while defensemen Calen Addison and Mathew Dumba have added three goals and 15 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Wild all season, allowing only 2.91 goals per game. Jared Spurgeon and Jacob Middleton have combined for 3.4 defensive point shares and 83 blocked shots while Mathew Dumba and Jonathon Merrill have combined for 1.6 defensive point shares to give the Wild two great defensive pairings. The hope is that goaltender Marc-Andre Fl eury can improve in the net as he has a .898 save percentage and a 2.92 goals-against average on 413 shots.
