The Minnesota Wild face the Calgary Flames in a matchup between two of the better teams in the Western Conference. The Wild have a 13-9-2 record and with a four-game winning streak, look like one of the best teams in the Central Division. The Flames have a 12-10-3 and have won back-to-back games. Both teams are looking to improve within the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Wild are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.13 goals per game with 20 goals in the last four games. Kirill Kaprizov, Mats Zuccarello, and Joel Eriksson Ek have scored 33 goals and 45 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has been great as well. Matt Boldy, Frederick Gaudreau, and Marcus Foligno have scored 16 goals and 19 assists while defensemen Calen Addison and Jared Spurgeon have added four goals and 20 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense hopes to improve, allowing 3.04 goals per game. Jared Spurgeon and Jacob Middleton have combined for 3.6 defensive point shares and 92 blocked shots but the rest of the defense has struggled, allowing opponents to carry the puck into the offensive zone and find open shots on the net. In addition, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has struggled in th e net with a .895 save percentage and a 3.04 goals-against average on 448 shots.
