The Minnesota Vikings opened the season with an impressive 23-7 home win over Green Bay followed by a Monday Night Football road loss to Philadelphia (24-7). Minnesota built a 21-3 lead midway through the second quarter against Chicago but trailed 22-21 in the fourth quarter before going on a 17-play 75-yard drive to take the 29-22 lead after a two-point conversion. The victory was sealed when the defense held on in the final minutes after Minnesota cornerback Cam Dantzler stripped Bears receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette with just over a minute remaining.

On defense, Minnesota is 15th allowing 20.4 ppg, and 24th allowing 369.8 yards per game. They are 19th giving up 120.4 rushing yards per game, and 22nd allowing 249.4 passing yards per game.
Looking at the other side of the ball, the Vikings are 12th in the NFL averaging 23 ppg, and 10th picking up 361 yards of total offense. They are eighth with Kirk Cousins leading the passing attack to 259.2 yards per game, and they are 21st running for 101.8 yards per game. Kirk Cousins has completed 66.3% of his passes with seven touchdowns and five interceptions and is 13th in the NFL with a 52.4 QBR. Dalvin Cook leads the way with 373 rushing yards on 4.64 yards per attempt.
Against the Bears last Sunday, Cousins was 32 for 41 with 296 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Cousins also added the game-winning one-yard rushing touchdown. Cook ran for 94 yards on 18 attempts with two touchdowns.
