Minnesota Vikings at Washington Commanders – 11/6/22 NFL Picks and Prediction

The Minnesota Vikings and Washington Commanders face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at FedEx Field.

The Vikings come into this game with a 6-1 record overall and they are coming off a big victory in the last game. The Vikings offense put up 34 points against the Arizona Cardinals, and that led to the eight-point victory. Kirk Cousins completed 24 of his 36 passes for 232 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Dalvin Cook also had a big game finishing with 20 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings are averaging 24.7 points while their defense is giving up 20.6 points per game. The Vikings did trade for TJ Hockenson this week and he’s another weapon for the offense.

On the other side of this matchup is Washington who sits with a 4-4 record overall and they have won three games in a row. In the last game against Indianapolis Colts, the Commanders scored 17 points including 10 in the 4th quarter, and that led to the victory. Taylor Heinicke completed 23 of his 31 passes for 279 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Washington is averaging 17.8 points while their defense is giving up 21.5 points per game. One problem in the last game was they didn’t get the run game going, and that needs to be better here. The Vikings are 1-4 in their last five games against the NFC. Washington is 5-0 against the spread in their last five games in November. The underdog is 8-3 against the spread in the last 11 meetings between the two teams. The over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings played between the two teams.
